trenton :: rowan & lucky :: the woodlands newborn photography

this little guy was such a sweet way to come back to work after a very hard couple of weeks.

newborn sessions are always such a joy for me.  and this baby was easily the smiliest little one i’ve ever had the pleasure to photograph.  that did my heart a world of good.

thanks so much to his mom and dad, and their awesome friend Jill for letting me love him for a little while.

freckles :: the woodlands senior photographer :: rowan & lucky

i love freckles. so very very much. they just seem to embody everything that’s good about youth and innocence and summer. and there’s just something special about a freckle-faced girl.

this is tori.

loved her.

loved her freckles.

i love . . .

I did one of these posts a couple years ago and it was really popular.  Well, okay, my grandma loved it, anyway.  (Thanks, grandma. Love you.)

Anyway, tonight, or rather this morning, inspired by insomnia and really bad television (why is there nothing good on at 4AM?  is that not a prime time slot? hmph.) I bring you the second edition of things I love, whether you care or not.  But, I know you do.  Grandma does. (Thanks, grandma. Love you.)                           I am influential, y’all.

1.  Reflection Cross Bracelet - I’m totally in love with the unique style of this bracelet.  I love just about anything that has a cross on it, but this is just so different.  Love love love the horizontal wrap-around style.  And it comes in gold too, which I’m all about right now.  Pretty much diggin’ just about everything on this site.  LOVE.

2.  Camera Ring -  When I’m not sporting all kinds of crosses all over me - can’t tell ya how many times I get mistaken for a priest, jeez is that embarrassing - then I do love me some cameras, y’all.  Wonder why that is?  Hmmm . . .  Anyway, how cute is this little pink enamel ring?   So cute.

3.  Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph - I’ve always loved Tag watches and this one is pretty awesome.  The rose gold hands and numerals had me at hello 12 o’clock.  And the 43mm case is nice and chunky.  Just like I like em.  It’s going on my Christmas list for sure.

4. Together Forever Necklace - I’m pretty new to Stella & Dot and apparently, I’m late, which is really so very unlike me.  I’ll be a better trend spotter next time.   But, anyway, I loooove so much of their stuff that I’m thinking about becoming a “stylist” just so I can get a discount.  *Ahem*   Anyway, I’ll be buying this necklace for sure.  I super duper love the mixed metals.  For real, y’all.

5.  Lip Renewing Serum - Before this turns into an all jewelry list, I will give the rest of my vanities a chance too.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product.   So much, in fact, that I did join the company.  Because this stuff is just that awesome.  Seriously.

6.  MAD MEN - Best show ever.  Just had to throw that in too.  It’s coming back next week and I’m so excited to see Mr. Draper that I can hardly sleep.  Oh, maybe that’s why I’m up at 6:10am?  Anyway, if you’ve never watched, DO IT.  Don Draper - day-drinking, womanizing, ad man.  I love him so much.

And that’s it for this one, y’all.  Bye.

Friday Foto Tip :: Pimp It, Y’all

Okay, okay, so, technically, it isn’t actually even Friday anymore at this hour.   But, well,  Saturday Foto Tip just didn’t have the same ring to it.  I’m a lover of alliteration.  And and and, I have a huge following in LA, so, really,  it’s all good . . .  Please, nobody call the blog police.

Anyway . . . my point is this:   I saw this quote on Pinterest a few weeks ago and since I have a massive photographer crush on I really admire Chase Jarvis, I wanted to share it with all you beginning and even established photographers.  Because it’s just darn good advice.  Simple.  To the point.  Completely Do-able.

He writes a great blog post about this subject.  You should read it.  He says good stuff there.  All about, you know photography and loving what you do and not caring if other people love it and important junk like that.

To sum it up:  Happy photographers take better pictures.

Happy shoots, y’all.
