Another casualty of the busy Holiday season?   My own Christmas cards!   That’s right.  I never even managed to get them designed.  But, I did get a chance to take the kids out one afternoon and grab these shots.  I might be a little bit biased, but I think these are some incredibly adorable kids!

So, anyway, if you’re on my Christmas card list and you didn’t get a card, which you didn’t, because I didn’t send any, then please consider this your belated virtual greeting.   Yep.  That’s how I roll.

Merry Christmas.  :)

So, here we go . . .  I promised some catch-up and here’s where that begins.  With a bunch of cute kids, of course!  Including a sweet baby in a basket.  Who doesn’t love that?

a photographer’s math.

Okay, what an incredibly amazing and busy season this has been for me!  I’ll just go ahead and tell you all that it was touch and go there for a little while and I really wasn’t sure I was going to make it.  BUT, I managed to pull it all together in the end and survive!   And I have to say, looking back on it, it was absolutely worth it.  Scars and all.  ;) Unfortunately, something did have to give.  This year’s casualty of the season was my poor, poor blog.  I do feel really terrible about that because I know both of my readers are just dying to see what I’ve been up to!

For those of you who are not in the photography business, I created this nifty little equation to explain exactly (well, sort of) why I’ve been unable to blog for the last several weeks.  For those of you who don’t read Algebra a la Stacey, and I’m guessing that would be, ummm, all of you, since as per usual, I’m totally making this thing up as I go along, here is how this equation is translated:

Thanksgiving, plus Christmas, plus New Year, divided by approximately 649 photo sessions (it’s possible that’s a slight exaggeration, but it really felt like that many!) divided by one photographer, equals too busy to blog!

Soooo, what all that means is . . . I’ll be playing catch-up here on the blog for the next few days (or maybe weeks).  Stay tuned for some gorgeous kids and some fabulous families.  I hope you all had a beautiful Christmas and a peaceful New Year.  Wishing you all a healthy and prosperous 2010.
